Bright students with poor financial status in the state can complete their studies up to Std-12. And to reduce the drop out rate in such secondary and higher secondary schools, a scheme called National Means cum Merit Scholarship has been implemented by MHRD New Delhi for the students studying in Std. 8 of the primary school.This examination is organized by State Examination Board Gandhinagar on Sunday 28/2/2021.
MHRD, NEW DILHI has implemented a scheme called National Means cum Merit Scholarship (NMMS) for students studying in Std. Is. 55% of General and OBC category studying in Std-7 of Government Primary and Granted Schools and ST and SC 50% or equivalent grade and whose parents' annual income does not exceed Rs. 150,000 Students who have can take the exam. The State Examination Board, Gandhinagar has conducted an examination every year to select the beneficiary students for this scholarship. After the examination, the students who come in merit in the district-wise fixed quota are entitled to a monthly scholarship of Rs. In Panchmahal district, quota of 154 has been allotted according to the year. There are students in the year 2017 - 51, 2018 - 61 and 2019 - 40 who have passed the examination. Out of which 40 students in Std. 9 in Std. 9, 45 in Std. 10, 27 in Std. 11 and 11 in Std. 12 are eligible for Rs. 12000 per annum through MHRD and Rs. 48000 through Std.
9 to 12 through four year National Scholarship Portal. Will be credited to their bank account. These scholarship forms are filled with the aim of benefiting students with poor financial status from the cooperation of the education family city.
Scholarship amount and payment rules
Students coming in district wise category in the examination will be paid Rs. 1000 per month. Thus, students with regular eligibility for four years at the rate of Rs. 12000 per annum will be eligible for the scholarship.
The scholarship amount will be paid by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India, New Delhi to the eligible students as per the guidelines of MHRD.
Scholarship amount will be transferred directly to the bank account of the beneficiary students through MHRD through National Scholarship Portal.
Qualification of the student
In the current academic year, all the students studying in Std. VIII for Government Primary Schools, Local Body Schools, District Panchayat Municipal Corporation or Municipal Schools and Granted Primary Schools can appear for the NMMS examination.
General category and OBC category students should have obtained at least 55% marks or equivalent marks in standard seven.
The annual income of the guardians of all categories of students should not exceed one lakh and fifty thousand.
Private Schools Private Schools Cell Finance Schools Kendriya Vidyalaya Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and students of residential schools run by state government institutions in which accommodation and study facilities are provided will not be able to fill up the application form.
Examination fee
Examination Fee For General Category and OBC Category students the examination fee will be Rs 70.
For AC and ST category students the exam will be Rs.50.
Fees paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
.Fee acceptance center
After filling the application form of Computer Post Office of Gujarat as a fee hunting center, its challan can be printed and filled. Two of the three-part printed currency will be returned by the post office. The payee from the post office will have to check with the receipt given by the post office whether it is made from the confirmation number or not.
