According to the Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, in the situation of Kovid-19, in the academic year 2020-2021, in the interest of the students, the government has reduced the curriculum from Std-9 to Std-12 by 30 per cent. The examination system has also been changed.
Accordingly, the proportion of objective questions in Std-9, 10, 11 and 12 general stream question papers has been increased to 30 per cent from 20 per cent earlier.
In standard 12 science stream, as before, the proportion of 50 per cent multiple choice type questions and 50 per cent descriptive type questions in the question papers has been kept unchanged.
In the question papers in standard 9 to 12, in the descriptive type of questions, general option will be given instead of internal option. This change has been prepared by Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with question papers, pattern, merit and sample question papers of 40 main subjects of Std-10 and 12 by experts.
