In standard 12 science stream, as before, the proportion of 50 per cent multiple choice type questions and 50 per cent descriptive type questions in the question papers has been kept unchanged. In the question papers in standard 9 to 12, in the descriptive type of questions, general option will be given instead of internal option.
This change has been prepared by Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with question papers, pattern, merit and sample question papers of 40 main subjects of Std-10 and 12 by experts.

Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said in a message that while the study material is being delivered to students through WhatsApp by the state's CRC, BRC, it is imperative that students use it with parental guidance.
The use of this literature will also give students the opportunity to study during the holidays. This weekly learning material will be given gradually from 4th to 5th Saturday in the coming days starting from 5th March.
