Circulars of different districts for keeping 50% staff present

Considering the current situation in Koro, the government has issued a circular to keep 50 per cent staff present in government offices.  In view of the local situation, a circular has been issued by the District Primary Education Officer to keep the staff present as per the situation.

  All staff are required to be present when called to the emergency service.  Considering the current situation in the state of Gujarat, all government offices have been asked to complete the work with 50 per cent staff. 



 The district will have to take appropriate decision keeping in view the local situation.The biggest concern for schools is the lack of guidelines for the examinations. “We have absolutely no idea how the exams have to be conducted. 






We would need more teachers as more batches would be expected. Then with external examiners, we would have to ensure our teachers are not occupied during that time. With no real clarity, schools might just aim for an earlier than usual final examinations for classes 9 and 11, as the teachers are usually common,” shared a senior coordinator for CBSE affiliated school in New Delhi.Another concern for teachers is planning the academic calendar for 2021-22. 


“CBSE has not shared any information regarding examination centre as yet. Though schools have a definite number of classrooms allotted for examination, this year they might just increase. 


Schools may need twice as many classrooms and support staff to conduct the CBSE Board Exams in a responsible and safe manner,” points out Mrs Rai, Principal, AIS.GSEB conducts the class 10 and class 12 exams for the students studying under the Gujarat board. 


The exams hold in the month of March and the results of which are out by the end of May. The questions asked in these exams are based on the pattern issued by Gujarat Board. To pass this exam with good marks, one should put some extra effort and practice the GSEB Question Paper.

 According to the Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, in the situation of Kovid-19, in the academic year 2020-2021, in the interest of the students, the government has reduced the curriculum from Std-9 to Std-12 by 30 per cent.  The examination system has also been changed.  Accordingly, the proportion of objective questions in Std-9, 10, 11 and 12 general stream question papers has been increased to 30 per cent from 20 per cent earlier.


 In standard 12 science stream, as before, the proportion of 50 per cent multiple choice type questions and 50 per cent descriptive type questions in the question papers has been kept unchanged.  



In the question papers in standard 9 to 12, in the descriptive type of questions, general option will be given instead of internal option.  This change has been prepared by Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education with question papers, pattern, merit and sample question papers of 40 main subjects of Std-10 and 12 by experts.

The online study was started when schools were closed during the Corona era.  Schools have now resumed in the state, but its impact on students ’education has been seen.  Now the dates of first examination of standard 9 to 12 and annual examination of standard 9 and 11 have been announced by the education department. 


The academic year is set to end later this year in view of the education work that was closed during the Corona era.  Examinations are held in the month of March-April every year.  But this year the academic calendar has changed.  


According to the dates announced by the education department, the first examination of standard 9 to 12 will be held from March 19 to March 27 According to the information of Gujarat Education Department, the annual examination of Std. 9 and Std. 11 will be organized in the month of June.  


The standard 9 and 11 examinations will start from June 7 this year.  Which will be completed by June 15.The Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has announced the schedule of the first examination of Std-9 to 12 and the annual examination of Std-


9 and 11 in the academic year 2020-21.  The first examination of standard 9 to 12 was held on.  March 19 to March 27, 2021 as well as the annual examination of standard 9 and 11.  Taken from June 7th to June 15th, 2021.  A total of 29563 students of Std-9 and 11 in Navsari district will join the annual examination. 



 While 67917 students in Std-9 to 12 will give the first examination.Academic work was halted in the wake of the Koro epidemic across the state.  Now that the vaccine has arrived, educational work is slowly being started in schools as well.  


In the situation of Kovid-19, it has been instructed to prepare the question papers of Std-9 to Std-12 school examinations for the academic year 2020-21 as per the format and merit announced by the Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education at school level.  In which for the first examination of Std-9 to Std-12 the question papers are prepared at the school level on the basis of the question papers of the annual examination announced by the board as per the syllabus conducted in that school as well as all the chapters conducted at school level.  


Has been instructed to do. At the same time, the Joint Director of the Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has instructed to prepare 70 per cent syllabus announced by the board for the annual examination of Std-9 and Std-11 as well as the question paper format of the annual examination and merit details per chapter. 


 In addition, under normal circumstances, the marks of the students in the first and second examinations out of 20 marks of internal assessment have been taken into consideration.  Instead, in the current situation of Covid-19, it has been urged to consider only the marks of the first examination in the internal assessment for the academic year 2020-21. Generally, every year at the beginning of the academic year, the Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education prepares an 'Educational Activity Calendar' and sends it to the schools.  In which the details of various examinations are shown.

 The 'Educational Activity Calendar' could not be prepared this year due to the situation of Kovid-19.  So that a circular has been sent to all the district education officers including Navsari district to organize the first examination of Std-9 to 12 as well as the annual examination of Std-9 and 11 from the school level.  A total of 29563 students of Std-9 and 11 in Navsari district will join the annual examination.  While 67917 students in Std-9 to 12 will give the first examination.


Considering the local situation in Gujarat, different government and private offices will have to work with 50% staff.  The decision has also been taken by the government keeping in view the health of the employees.  Due to this decision, considering the current situation, all government and private offices will have to work with 50% staff to suit the local situation.
