A scheme called National Means cum Merit Scholarship has been started by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India for the students studying in Std. Has come.
In this scholarship scheme students who are studying in Std. 8 in government primary schools, local body schools, district panchayat / corporation or municipal school or grant aided primary schools in the current academic year will be able to give this examination.

MHRD New Delhi has implemented a scheme called National Means cum Merit Scholarship for students studying in the state to reduce drop out rate in secondary and higher secondary schools.
Bright students with poor financial status in the state can complete their studies up to Std-12. And to reduce the drop out rate in such secondary and higher secondary schools, a scheme called National Means cum Merit Scholarship has been implemented by MHRD New Delhi for the students studying in Std. 8 of the primary school.
This examination is organized by State Examination Board Gandhinagar on Sunday 28/2/2021.
Scholarship amount and payment rules
Students coming in district wise category in the examination will be paid Rs. 1000 per month. Thus, students with regular eligibility for four years at the rate of Rs. 12000 per annum will be eligible for the scholarship.
The scholarship amount will be paid by the Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India, New Delhi to the eligible students as per the guidelines of MHRD.
Scholarship amount will be transferred directly to the bank account of the beneficiary students through MHRD through National Scholarship Portal.
Qualification of the student
In the current academic year, all the students studying in Std. VIII for Government Primary Schools, Local Body Schools, District Panchayat Municipal Corporation or Municipal Schools and Granted Primary Schools can appear for the NMMS examination.
General category and OBC category students should have obtained at least 55% marks or equivalent marks in standard seven.
The annual income of the guardians of all categories of students should not exceed one lakh and fifty thousand.
