Holidays have been declared by the government in view of various religious festivals and birthdays or anniversaries of great men.  Every year a list of holidays is issued by the government which are known as public holidays.  Such public holidays are held in banks and all public institutions.  Yes the list of public holidays is very important and significant for everyone.  If everyone is aware of these holidays, then that person can finish his work on time.  The list of public holidays is issued by the government every year at the beginning of the year so that the public does not get in trouble.

PUBLIC HOLIDAY FOR BANK 2021 GOVERNMENTE Employeesmay avail of maximum any two of the holidays on the festival occasions mentioned above at their option and irrespective of their religious denomination. Permission for availment of these optional holidays should however, be applied for in advance and will normally be granted by the officer competent to grant casual leave with due regard to the exigencies of Government work. This leave of two days taken by Government Employees at their discretion on the festival of their choice will not be debited to their casual leave account. 

 If any of the Muslim holidays notified above, does not fall on the day notified, the Muslim Employees of Government may be granted an optional holiday on the day on which the holiday is actually observed.

In pursuance of the explanation to section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, (XXVI of 1881) read with the Notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs No. 39/1/68-Judl.III dated the 8th May, 1968, the Government of Gujarat, in consultation with Reserve Bank of India, Ahmedabad is pleased to declare the following days to be Public Holidays for banks in Gujarat during the year 2021.

Note: (2) If any of the Muslim Holidays notified above docs not fall on the day notified, the Muslim Employees of the Government may be granted an optional holiday on the day on which the holiday is actually observed. The holidays will also be applicable to all State Government Undertakings, Boards, Corporations and Panchayat Offices.
